Sustainability: About Our Eco-Friendly Packaging

At TOADS, our passion for adventure goes hand in hand with our commitment to the environment. We believe that the balance and beauty of the outdoors is something worth protecting, which is why we take sustainability very seriously! We're dedicated to reducing our impact on the planet, which is why we took the time and effort to source ecological shipping and packing materials.

100% Recycled, Reuseable, and Recyclable

To reduce our impact on the environment, we only ship with 100% recycled materials. Our mailer bags are made with 50% post-industrial waste and 50% post-consumer waste, which means we are giving new life to previously used plastic that would otherwise be landfill-bound. Our shipping boxes are made of 100% recycled cardboard (95% post-consumer and 5% post-industrial). Our shipping labels are 100% recycled, uncoated, and curbside recyclable. Even all the way down to the adhesive on our labels and packaging that are "recycle" compatible, which allows for a more seamless separation of stickier facestock and the paper package substrate during the recycling and re-pulping process.

Mindful Packaging

Our bag mailers have a dual peel-and-seal which allows them to be reused at least once before they are recycled.

Instead of shipping tiny products in huge boxes surrounded by plastic air pillows--which is what companies who prioritize cost reduction above all else do--we minimize our material usage and size packages right for each of the products we ship out. That way, we're not shipping out a bunch of air.

Made in America, For a Better America

Our packaging is made in America. Our boxes are manufactured and converted in the USA. Our supplier carefully collaborates with domestic partners whose eco-values align with ours, meaning we are investing in ethical jobs and local economies. By manufacturing domestically, we are sourcing our own post-consumer waste generated here in the USA, which helps drive much-needed localized investments in recycling and remanufacturing infrastructure to eventually make all packaging out of packaging. By sourcing American made products, we (and, in turn - you!) are expanding our economical and environmental impact together.

Now that's a WIN/WIN!
